There are times in your life when you really are in a hurry or you are so tired that cooking let alone eating is a chore that is too hard to handle. These are three very quick ways to get good food ready for yourself in no time at all, using your microwave oven.
1; One of the quickest and easiest things to prepare in your microwave is the jacket potato. Any product with a skin must have the skin pricked before it is microwaved.Simply take a fork and make sure you pierce the skin of the potato with it several times. This has to be done as the potatoes skin will retain steam generated by through the heating process and the build up of the steam will eventually cause the potato to explode. Place the potato in your microwave oven and cook for four minutes, turn the potato over and cook for a further four minutes. Remove the potato from the microwave and wrap it in foil and leave it to stand for a further three minutes this will allow the potato to cook through thoroughly and make it light and fluffy when it is cut open. All you have to do then is add your favorite filling and you have a great snack in just a few minutes.
2; Scrambled eggs are great when prepared in a microwave. Just take a microwave safe bowl and melt enough butter in it to line the bowl. Crack three eggs in the bowl and add three dessert spoons of milk and a pinch of pepper. Whisk these ingredients together and cook for one minute in your microwave oven. Stir the eggs and cook for a further minute the eggs should be staring to scramble quite rapidly by this time. Stir again and microwave for a further thirty seconds. Remove the eggs from your microwave and and stir again. Cover them with some foil and leave to stand for two minutes, this will allow the eggs to finish cooking. For a little different flavor add some grated cheese after removing the eggs from the microwave.
